Palos Verdes Stew

(A quick note:  please forgive the lighting in the completed dish pictures, and in the video.  I did this too late last night and a storm was coming through and the light was just horrible.)

Good morning!  I hope everyone had an amazing week, and I hope we are all looking forward to an amazing weekend.  This dish, Palos Verdes Stew, is a quick stew made from the GHCookbook of 1963, from their Weight-Watching chapter.  The base of this stew is really tasty, yet the tuna fish is questionable.

Chili Con Carne

Happy Saturday, everyone, and happy Spring!  This Chili Con Carne recipe, from the Weight-Watching chapter of the GH cookbook, is super easy.  It is a one-pot meal and a good "base" recipe to expand your chili making dreams.  Make it as is, taste it, and see what you would like to add to it to customize it as your own.  Nice and mild, this chili is sure to please most anyone.

Boeuf Bourguignon II

Happy Weekend!  This is another recipe from the Weight-Watching chapter from the GH Cookbook.  There is a few steps in this recipe yet it was quite easy to make.  The recipe says that you can make this the day ahead if you want, and so I made this last night, let it cool, and then warmed it up today.  Since this is a "dieters" recipe the serving size says 6, yet if you want a "normal" serving size this would probably feed 3 people, or 2 hungry folks.

Chicken Livers in Wine

Hello!  I hope you are having a great weekend!  The weather around here is so lovely.  The sun is out and melting the rest of the ice on the ground.  I'm celebrating this wonderful change in weather by making the next recipe in the Family Weight Watching chapter from the GH Cookbook of 1963.  I present to you Chicken Livers in Wine (3 servings).

Appetizer Soup

Hello and welcome back!  I'm excited to start back on this cookbook journey and I'm happy to say that the first recipe is pretty good. This recipe comes from the Weight-Watching chapter of the GH cookbook, and this would be perfect as an appetizer or for a light lunch or dinner.
